New Pups!!

We have two very fuzzy and very cute new addition to the Kennels!! Nuna (red collar) and Aliqsi(blue collar) arrived the night of Nov. 18 from Eagle AK. Their names are the Inupiaq words meaning "earth" and "white sock" respectively. Inupiaq is a dialect of Inuit spoken in Northern Alaska.


Anna holding Nuna. We can't help picking them up, they are so cute, even though Nuna weighs at least 25 lbs now! They are very confident and social puppies.






Aliqsi (top) and Nuna wrestling in the snow. Even though Nuna is bigger, Alisqi always wins these matches. We don't know whether Nuna lets her win, or Liqsi just has all the best moves!

The pups are learning the command "sit!" At first Aliqsi was picking it up quickly, but Nuna seems to be more food motivated (aka more little piglet-ish) so Nuna sits on dime now. Aliqsi gets a little distracted. Sorry you have to listen to me say "sit" so many times in this video.
